The band Dead Moon has cult status, even if at first glance hardly anyone seems to know them. It isn’t only their loud, raw, and off-kilter music that fascinates their fans. Above all, it’s their attitude—their conviction that the prescribed path is guaranteed to be the wrong one. And that beyond the well-trodden routes, other ways of living still exist.
Elena Zieser interviews the last surviving member of Dead Moon and tries to explain a lifelong fascination with a band for whom it was never just about the music.
